Code of Conduct

For all Young Women and Adult Leadership

Observe all standards set forth in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet -- especially those outlined below.

Dress and Appearance-Clothing must be modest and functional
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? The temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” “Immodest clothing is any clothing that is tight , sheer, or revealing in any other manner. Young Women should avoid short shorts, and short skirts, shirts that do not cover the stomach and clothing that does not cover the shoulders or is low-cut in the front or the back” FSOY - in addition to this we ask that
  1. Shorts must be two inches above the knee
  2. Bathing suits must be modest, one piece(or covers middle without exception) and covers the chest area
  3. Shoues must be worn at all times
Language
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good.” Ephesians 4:29
“Speak kindly and positively about others. Choose not to insult others or put them down; even in joking...always use the names of God and Jesus Christ with reverence and respect.” “Do not use profane, vulgar, or crude language or gestures.” FSOY
Friendship
“Treat everyone with kindness and respect, and refrain from judging and criticizing those around you. Do not participate in any form of bullying. Make a special effort to be a friend to those who are shy or lonely, have special needs, or do not feel included.” FSOY
Camp Rules:
  1. One girl per bed at all times. No lying or cuddling on cots together.
  2. Respect must be shown for each camper and leader’s personal space. Physical contact should be appropriate and in keeping with church morality guidelines.
  3. No destruction or defacing of camp or individual property. There will be a charge for any damage done. This includes cell phones, program props/supplies and personal items in tents and cabins.
  4. Cabin doors should remain open during the day. Bedtime or when changing are the only times flaps may be closed.
  5. Campers should travel in groups. No camper is allowed in areas where there is no adult supervision. The woods are off limits. Trails and roads should be used when traveling around camp.
  6. No electronics allowed at camp. Young Women will not be allowed to use cell phones.
  7. All campers must be in campsite by 9:00pm. All campers should be in tents by 10:30pm. No one is allowed out of her tent after bedtime, unless a visit to the restroom is necessary, then an adult should be alerted.
  8. Anyone who threatens to harm themselves or others will be sent home.
  9. No YW will be released from camp early, for any reason, without prior conversation with Sister Anderson and Sister Hales. This conversation should occur prior to parent or guardian departing from home.
  10. The lake, and pool including the dock area are off limits, unless it is a specific scheduled water time. Life jackets must be worn at lake area at all times.
